I'm planning on wiping Skyrim clean with a fresh install then start from scratch with mods specifically to go with my intended experience, along with wiping all my saves (maybe back them up somewhere). I've heard about Frostfall a lot and have only just now researched it more, so I'm wanting to try out a hardcore mode survival experience as the whole concept is fantastic. (This book is purely for flavor, but does contain some helpful tips!) Once you’ve found the book, Frostfall will start.So I've been fairly heavily modding now for several months and as such have become more familiar with a lot of the major ones and what kind of small/large mods are available to really tweak the Skyrim experience to your liking. Once Frostfall has finished starting up, you will see a message that notes how you found a copy of a long-lost book, The Survivor’s Guide to Skyrim.

There are several ways to start Frostfall: Since Frostfall adds so much to the game, it doesn’t start until you want it to. This is to ensure that the Rescue system in Frostfall will transport your character to the right place if your exposure reaches maximum. These are mods like JK’s Skyrim by Jkrojmal and Teabag86.

In particular, Frostfall should load before any mods that edit inns and taverns. You should, in general, try to load Frostfall.esp as high in your load order as you can.
